Perversely obsessive, I desire to produce works of visual delight redolent of fantastic, even grotesque romanticism steeped in nostalgia for the innocence of adolescence.
Through the employment of humble, nearly obsolete materials and means, I examine the impermanence and temporal nature of our society paced by technological advances resulting in the disconnection of people and the ensuing loneliness of modern urban life.
The repetitive act of crocheting and other means of creation provides symmetry and order to the chaotic state of modern life and a sense of stillness amidst the disorder.
