this two-story, 1,200 square foot addition to the reff/holliday
residence, a 1950s modern ranch house, adds a master suite,
guest bedroom, bath, office and roof deck. taking cues from
the existing house, the addition takes advantage of commanding
views with large windows and breaks in the stepped façade,
which also offer abundant natural light throughout. the
addition is clad in sustainably-harvested tropical hardwood
and smooth-troweled cement plaster.
