affectionately
known as the 'bunker', this new 1,500 square foot guest
house and media room is nestled into the hillside in order
to reduce its profile from the main house and existing
park-like setting. the media room features angled walls
covered with industrial felt and custom wood sound baffles
for enhanced acoustic quality. exterior walls clad with
sustainably-harvested tauri wood play off the board-formed
concrete below, adding warmth and texture to the building
and its site.
